The accompanying Mazurkas, Op. 50 are piano solo pieces that inherit the Chopin tradition while incorporating elements of folk songs from the Tatra Mountains (Highlander music), which Szymanowski cherished.\n\n\n\nThe soloist is Simon Nearing, a young virtuoso celebrated by the Polish piano world.
