This release features seven works recorded live at the Royal Festival Hall during his fruitful time with the Orchestra.The London Philharmonic worked closely with Dean on his opera Hamlet, which premiered at the 2017 Glyndebourne Festival under then LPO Chief Conductor Jurowski and won the 2018 South Bank Sky Arts Award and the International Opera Award for Best New Opera, and was awarded the 2018 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best New Opera, It remains one of the greatest masterpieces of contemporary opera, still performed at the MET, and on taking up his residency at the LPO in September 2020, Dean said, \"Since my first encounter with the LPO, led by Jurowski, as a composer, at the 2017 Glyndebourne Festival, I have felt a special bond with this wonderful group of musicians. I have felt a special bond and empathy with these wonderful musicians since my first meeting as a composer with the LPO led by Jurovski at the 2017 Glyndebourne Festival. The two-disc set includes a cello concerto with the work's dedicatee, Alban Gerhardt, and the UK premiere of the accordion concerto The Players, making this a very worthwhile two-disc set.\n\n\n\n(King International)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Lpo (London Philharmonic Orchestra)","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50716291596577,"sku":"5060096760429","price":28.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5060096760429.jpg?v=1734945632","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/5060096760429","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
