Buteri-Taft's dark tone is appealing. Virgil Boutelli-Taft is a young French violinist. After studying at the conservatories of Tours and Paris, she studied in Budapest, London, and Tel Aviv. She has attracted attention for her dedicated repertoire. The latest release is accompanied by orchestra, and in each piece the violin does not sing a sweet melody, but rather plays a meaningful and somewhat dark tune in a mysterious way, luring the listener into a unique world. The theme of "Yumeji" from Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's "Huasama Nenka" (2000) is a highlight of the program. It was written by Shigeru Umebayashi, once the leader of the rock band EX and later known for his numerous film scores, and was also recorded and talked about by Gidon Kremer. King International
