A lifelong member of the Ursula convent, she possessed a wealth of musical talent: in 1640, at the age of 20, she published her first collection of music, which was followed by 15 collections of music, including masses, psalms, and hymns. Fifteen collections of music followed, including masses, psalms, and hymns. A French collector later described him as \"very learned and very wise\" and found Leonarda's works fascinating. This disc explores Leonarda's music in a variety of works, from motets to solo voices, including obbligato violins and bass continuo. The works are highly expressive and intelligent, with bold chromatic scales and a wide range of tonalities, providing an opportunity to hear Leonarda's work overlooked in the \"sacred music\" genre of the 18th century.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Brilliant Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47853210632481,"sku":"5028421966267","price":15.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/5028421966267.jpg?v=1705475597","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/5028421966267","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
