And that is because he or she has reached the level of a \"virtuoso\" or \"maestro,\" in other words, a \"maestro\" as a musician. Alan Holdsworth is one of the few musicians and guitarists who have reached the level of such a \"maestro. His numerous albums are now available on hybrid SACD!\n\n\n\nHoping to avoid the various obstacles of label contracts and to create an environment in which he could pursue the musicality he desired, Alan Holdsworth established his own production company, and through RESTLESS, a WEA member, he will release his past works as well as his new releases. The first release will be a new album. The first release will be \"SECRETS\". It has been two years since his last album \"SAND\", which featured the ultimate guitar synthesizer \"SynthAxe\", and he plays both syntax and electric guitar on this album.The syntax is more fully grasped than in the previous album, and the soloist's playing is more elongated, as if he were playing the saxophone, and he delivers brilliant solos.\n\n\n\nBacking musicians are Jimmy Johnson (b) and Chad Wackerman (ds), who have supported Alan since his first tour in Japan, and Alan Pasqua (kbds), who also played on the previous album. Also featured on this album are drummer Vinnie Caliuta, who is well known for backing Frank Zappa, Chick Corea, and Jeff Beck, as well as Steve Hunt (kbds) and Bob Wackerman (b), who will be touring with the band later this year. Three vocalists are also featured on three songs for the first time in a while.\n\n\n\nThe opening number \"City Nights,\" from the pen of Gary Husband, is a driving number that only Alan can deliver. Newcomer Steve Hunt's \"Joshua\" is the type of song that shows the direction of Alan's future work, with a superb solo that balances Alan's electric guitar and Steve's keyboard solo.In \"Spokes,\" Alan, who was awakened to jazz music by John Coltrane, plays a freewheeling and brilliant solo on the syntax. The closing number, \"Endmorph,\" is sung quietly by vocalist Craig Copeland against the symphonic sound of Alan's syntax and electric guitar.\n\n\n\nImported domestic edition with liner notes\n\n\n\nAlan Holdsworth (g, SynthAxe)\n\nRowanne Mark (vo) *Track 2\n\nJimmy Johnson (b) *Track1-6\n\nVinnie Caliuta (ds) *Track1-6\n\nAlan Pasqua (kbds) *Track3\n\nSteve Hunt (kbds) *Track4, 6\n\nBob Wackerman (b) *Track7\n\nChad Wackerman (ds, kbds) *Track7\n\nClaire Holdsworth (vo) *Track7\n\nCraig Copeland (vo) *Track8\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Iac Music Japan\/Gen","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50988738019617,"sku":"4997184201414","price":32.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4997184201414.jpg?v=1740891852","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/4997184201414","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
