Finally, a very rare CD release that Japanese music fans have been drooling over! A "serious" jazz vocal album by a great actress, Kazuko Matsuo! This is a jazz vocal album by a great actress, Kazuko Matsuo, released in December 1966. Although most of the younger generation may think of Kazuko Matsuo as an actress, she was known as a "husky of the night" at the time, and she is an accomplished singer with many albums to her credit. Most of her songs are mood songs, but this is the only one that is actually amazing! Accompanied by Masao Yagi Quintet, Shigenori Ohara and Blue Coats, this is a serious jazz work. Among them, the light and pleasant (9) "Ipanema's Daughter" has a nice "Japanese" feel to it, with a nice "kobushi" effect (the tenor solo is by Akira Miyazawa, I think). The jacket is also nice!
