His violin concerto, written in 1851 and dedicated to Liszt, is strongly influenced by Mendelssohn, and the weeping melody is irresistible in places. The Op. 11 concerto, written in 1857, features a long first movement and a finale with a very technical and folkloric flavor. Kim, the winner of the 2006 Hanover International Competition, plays this difficult work with ease. This is a piece to sigh for. ［Comment courtesy of Naxos Japan

Tracklisting:

1.Violin Concerto in G minor in one movement, Op. 3
2.Violin Concerto in D minor in the Hungarian Style, Op. 11: Allegro un poco maestoso
3.Violin Concerto in D minor in the Hungarian Style, Op. 11: Allegro un poco maestoso
4.Violin Concerto in D minor in the Hungarian Style, Op. 11: Allegro un poco maestoso
