Since playing the role of Faust at the Opera de Lyon in 1997, Busoni has been a favorite of Dietrich Henschel, who has been a great success in the role, as well as the Vienna State Opera, and the Vienna Philharmonic, where he has been a member of the ensemble for his career. The cast features a fine lineup of singers, including Olga Vesmertna as the Duchess of Parma, a role she has held since her career at the Vienna State Opera.
