Written for three solo singers and a chamber choir, it is a simple and evocative portrayal of the miracle of Christmas, with an accompaniment of woodwinds reminiscent of shepherd's music, four-handed piano, and triangles.\n\nFrontini is better known for his numerous compilations of Sicilian folk songs than for his compositions, and his Canti religiosi del popolo siciliano (Religious Songs of the Sicilian People), published in 1938, is a collection of 22 pieces with piano accompaniment. Howard Ehrman selected eight of these songs for Christmas and arranged them for chorus and instrumental music. The Italian Marian hymn \"O sanctissima, O sanctissima, sing ye, celebrate ye\" is known as the opening melody of the most popular Christmas carol in German-speaking countries, \"O du frohliche\".This is also an arrangement by Arman.\n\nNaxos Japan","brand":"BR Klassik","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51874590654753,"sku":"4589538824761","price":17.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4589538824761.jpg?v=1759410149","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/4589538824761","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
