The works of Cavalli, a leading figure in the Venetian opera world during this period, are placed at the beginning and end of the program, along with masterpieces from the last years of Monteverdi, who was also his teacher, vocal works by Benedetto Ferrari, one of the first composers to present works at an opera house open to the public, and sonatas by Uccellini, who pursued his own instrumental style while keeping their vocal style in mind. The program will be performed by five talented singers who have emerged as members of various ensembles in Europe in the 21st century, and by Les Stagioni, a group of talented musicians from a wide range of generations.
