Juan Carlos Galbayo, the IBS label's signature pianist, has enjoyed a long and trusted relationship with Roberto Sierra, the composer of this album. Galbayo is so enamored with Sierra's music that he describes his piano works as "dreamlike sounding, with an enchanting blend of reality and fantasy," and he carefully plays the mysterious sounds that characterize this album. The beautiful sound played in the first piece of "Bolero" titled "Melancholy" seems to invite the listener into a dreamlike world and show an intimate dream. This album includes the "Introduction, Song and Descalga," in which a subtle melody rises from the gorgeous toccata-like touch, and the improvisational "Montunos," in which the fingers seem to dance playfully on the piano keys, and a unique work.
