Since the end of the 20th century, France has been a driving force in the European classical music scene, and a number of world-class musicians have emerged one after another. This is due to the large number of discerning listeners and the excellent educational system at the Versailles Baroque Music Center and the Paris Conservatory, which attracts up-and-coming musicians from all over the world. In recent years, talented musicians such as Raphaël Pichon and Jean Rondeau have been making their mark on the world, and the Palace of Versailles label is proud to present the first recording by conductor Valentin Tournet, who was born in 1996. The Palace of Versailles label is proud to present its first recording of Valentin Tournet, a conductor born in 1996, in the belief that his music will contribute to the prestige of the label and the palace. The reason is that Tournai has already been a hot topic of conversation in the French classical music world for the past few years. He was trained by Philippe Pierlot in Belgium and then by Christophe Cowan at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he came into the limelight as a talented young gamba player. He is now an up-and-coming conductor who has been applauded for his performances of Bach's great Passions. The program includes an early draft of the Magnificat, one of the most popular Bach works in France, and the Cantata for the Nativity. ...... The soloists include McLeod, known as a great singer with the Bach Collegium Japan, and Vladiková, as well as other talented musicians, Eva Zajcik, who also has a solo album under her own name on the Alpha label. This is a new Bach recording that should not be overlooked!
