Description:

Inspired by Haydn's Symphony No. 27, Cogleman's "Night Walk," written in 2007, was commissioned by the Romanian city of Sibiu (German: Hermannstadt), which is closely associated with the symphony. Coggleman used Haydn's material and incorporated the voice of Emile Cioran, a philosopher from the same region, into the work. The album includes the original music performed by Gustav Kuhn and the Bolzano-Trento Haydn Orchestra. Naxos Japan
