I wanted to create music that would relax people deeply when they listen to it, like a gentle breeze gently brushing their cheeks. With this in mind, we spent a lot of time and thought to complete the seven songs. The result is an album like a transparent watercolor painting, with just a hint of melancholy. This time, I did everything from recording to mixing, and the mastering was done by Miles Showell of Abbey Road Studios, whom I have come to trust. Guest player on the album is John Waugh, saxophonist for the British band The 1975. The collaboration with John Waugh was also inspired by inspiration. Michael Chaves, a former member of John Mayer's band and Leonard Cohen's later years, who has been making music with me since 2003 (Wonderful People), also added some color on guitar on a couple of tracks.
