Dada, as in \"it's just a spoiled brat's babbling.\" Dada, as in the early 20th-century art movement ≪Dadaism≫. An album centered on 60s psychedelic rock, incorporating blues and African\/Middle Eastern rhythmic sensibilities, reconstructed as Japanese rock. Conceptualized around ≪Dadaism≫, its worldview shakes the boundaries between meaning and meaninglessness, reality and unreality. The highly addictive linguistic sensibility of Gaku Miyata, the drumming of Hamachi—combining the coolness and fluidity of a classical percussion background—and the stable, driving bass of Dai Kurihara, who has long supported GLIM SPANKY, intersect to form a soundscape that is psychedelic yet highly structured. The jacket photography is by Hiroki Nishioka (who has also photographed Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, and others). His vision decisively etches the spirit of \"Dada\" inherent in this work into its visual aspect.
