The '77 solo debut album by Frank Pisani, a vocalist/musician from Chicago who had been active intermittently from the 50's to the 80's, was released on CD for the first time in '24 by Paisley Press in Germany! Frank Pisani's solo debut in 1977 was released on CD for the first time in '24 on Paisley Press in Germany. However, this album is not only catchy, but also has a dynamic sympho/progressive hard sound with arrangements that deviate slightly from the hit charts, featuring technical Hammond organ in the style of ELP and thick-core guitars. The recording environment was so poor that the label released the demo without the artist's permission, and the sound is a bit cheap, which is common among independent North American progressive rock bands of the 1970s. The soulful vocals on "Grabbing Air" in particular are worth a listen.The unique musicality of the album, which is a cross between pop, progressive hard, and soul/funk, will tickle the curiosity of progressive rock fans!
