A Spectacular Performance of Stockhausen by Musikfabrik, the Powerhouse of Contemporary Music\n\nAct 2 of Stockhausen’s masterpiece *Licht*, performed by Musikfabrik, the powerhouse of contemporary music. This is Act 2 of “Thursday” from the opera *Licht*.\nMichael is an angel who has descended to Earth in human form. His role is to guide humanity to heaven. Here, the trumpet solo takes on the role of Michael. Eva is the goddess of love and life. The basset horn takes on the role of Eva. Michael (trumpet) literally travels through the United States, Japan, Bali, and other places, and in the end, he becomes one with Eva (basset horn)—as both instruments play long trills that eventually synchronize—and ascends to heaven. This is the overarching narrative, within which Stockhausen has incorporated various ingenious devices characteristic of his style.\nMusikfabrik, a group of contemporary music virtuosos, performed this “Journey of Michael” in collaboration with the performance collective “La Fla del Baus” in various European cities in 2008. This CD features live recordings from that tour. As the performances took place exactly one year after his passing, this highly anticipated release captures a unique sense of passion and excitement.\nKing International\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Wergo","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53595650982177,"sku":"4010228685824","price":25.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/4010228685824.jpg?v=1790482125","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/4010228685824","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
