In total, the Bach family consists of about 80 musicians, but only a handful of composers are known today.The album begins with Johann Bach, J.S. Bach's great-uncle, from the Bach family of the 17th century, followed by the brothers Johann Christoph and Johann Michael, cousins of J.S. Bach's father, and a distant relative, but one that J.S. Bach was said to have highly appreciated. The program features a selection of works by Johann Ludwig Bach and ends with a great motet by J.S.
