Regarding Franck’s Sonata, Ridout notes that within a sound world that is both violin-like and cello-like, the viola possesses a unique voice all its own, making it a work ideally suited to the instrument. The album also features three original compositions and a selection of Fauré’s songs.\nIn 1886, Franck wrote a violin sonata as a wedding gift for Ysaÿe. Ysaÿe later dedicated his own Unaccompanied Sonata No. 3 to Enescu. Then, in 1906, Enescu composed *Concertstück* for the Paris Conservatory entrance exams, commissioned by Fauré, who was then the director of the conservatory. Honoré’s *Concert Piece* was also composed for the same exam (1904). Busser, who studied organ with Franck, composed *Appassionato* (1910) for the Paris Conservatory during Fauré’s tenure as director.\nHARMONIAMUNDI\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Harmonia Mundi","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52699435827489,"sku":"3149020956236","price":34.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/3149020956236.jpg?v=1779022624","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/it-it\/products\/3149020956236","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
