Since parts of the score for this opera buffa have been lost, Oberlinger completed the opera using related manuscripts from Vienna and Wolfenbüttel. Instrumental music by Pergolesi is also used for the interludes. The story is also a stirring one, as the celibate Ceridoro is bewildered by his sudden freedom, the world, people, and women are all new to him, and his instincts are constantly clashing with strange rules. This light-hearted opera buffa amusingly depicts Chedrillo's process of finding his place in society amidst the games of power and love. The revival of the opera \"The Mysterious Power of Mother Nature\" was staged at the Potsdam Sans Souci Festival in 2022.This album is a live recording of the opera, which has been praised as \"the music of the year's greatest discovery\" (rbb kultur) and \"fascinating...
