They have also added a drummer to their sound to bring a more powerful heaviness to their sound. The band has been pursuing heaviness with an emphasis on melody lines since their last album \"SHADOWMAKER\" in 2015, but in 2016 they went on a tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album \"PLAYS METALLICA BY FOUR CELLOS\", There they once again returned to their \"instrumental\" roots, and this latest album, \"CELL-0,\" was produced to further pursue those roots.The album is composed entirely of instrumental music by three cellists, Eikka Toppinen, Perttu Kivilakso, and Paavo Rotjonen, and drummer Mikko Sirén, and it is here that the band Apocalyptica takes its unique identity to new heights.
