Sekela, the official pianist of the "Prague Spring Festival," records Liszt and Smetana! Czech pianist Miroslav Sekela has won first prize at the Brahms International Competition (2002) and various other international competitions. He has a unique career, having been selected at an early age to play the role of Mozart as a young boy in Milos Forman's hit movie "Amadeus". He is currently the official pianist of the "Prague Spring Music Festival" and a full-time lecturer at the piano department of the University of Prague, while also performing as a soloist and chamber musician at the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna and other venues around the world. In Japan, she gave a well-received recital with Josef Spacek in 2017. With Spachek, she has released an album (SU 4129) of Janacek, Smetana, and Prokofiev on the Sprafon label. This promising new recording combining Liszt and Smetana is a remarkable album that will allow you to enjoy Sekera's outstanding technique and rich expressive power. King International
