A world-famous harpsichordist, Ruzicicova studied at the Prague Academy, and after winning the first prize at the Munich International Competition in 1956, she made her way onto the world's top stage. Ruzychková founded the Prague Chamber Soloists with Václav Neumann. The recordings here are from that period and show Bach with great musicality and dignity. Ruzhchikova is famous for her interpretations of Baroque music, Poulenc, Martinů, and others, but it is her interpretations of Bach that are synonymous with her.
