This album features six of the sonatas on flauto traverso and harpsichord, based on an arrangement by an unknown arranger published in Paris in 1738. In addition to the adjustments in tonality, register, and polyphonic passages, another interesting aspect of these arrangements is the fusion of Italian and French styles.
