Menuetto 3'55 12. VI. andante - allegro molto 7'27 Performers Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Vahan Mardirosyan(Conductor) Recorded: April 20, 2023, Suk Hall, Pardubice, Czech Republic Divertimento Nos. 10 and 15, written by Mozart during his days as a court musician in Salzburg, are called "Rodron Serenades" Nos. 1 and 2, since they were written for Maria Antonia, Countess of Rodron. The original composition was for six players (two horns, two violins, viola, and bass), but because of the wide range of musical ideas, it is often performed with a larger number of players, and here, too, the mobility and expressiveness of a chamber orchestra are used to bring Mozart's rich musical ideas to life. Rodron Serenade No. 1 Composed by the 20-year-old Mozart for the celebration of the feast of the Holy Name of Maria Antonia, wife of Count Ernst Lodron [1716-1779], a nobleman of Salzburg, and first performed on June 18, 1776. Published in 1799, eight years after Mozart's death, by Gombart in his father's hometown of Augsburg. Rodron Serenade No. 2 Composed by the 21-year-old Mozart for the celebration of the feast of the Holy Name of Maria Antonia [1738-1796], wife of Count Ernst Rodron [1716-1779], a Salzburg nobleman, and first performed on June 16, 1777. Published in 1799, eight years after Mozart's death, by the Gombart Company in his father's hometown of Augsburg. Cover. The woman pictured on the cover of the booklet is Maria Anna [1725-1780], wife of the Tyrolean nobleman Count Nicola Sebastiano Rodron-Laterano-Castelromano [1719-1792]. The Rodron associated with Mozart is Maria Antonia [1738-1796], the wife of Count Ernst Rodron [1716-1779], a Salzburg nobleman, so she is a different person, but Maria Anna is also a Rodron family member, so the painting was chosen to convey the atmosphere of the time It is thought that this painting was chosen to convey the atmosphere of the time.
