Only two years later, in July 1961, Ruffalo passed away in a car accident at the age of 25. Soon after, the trio resumed with Chuck Israel on bass, and from 1966, they recruited Eddie Gomez from Puerto Rico, who was still unknown. Larry Bunker replaced Motian on drums from 1963, and Marty Morrell joined in 1968. The trio of Gomes and Morrell remained the longest of all time until 1975, when Morrell left the group. This is a live archive of the trio with Bill Evans, Eddie Gomez, and Marty Morrell on stage in Paris in 1972. The concert was recorded on February 6, 1972, in Paris, and features the trio at the peak of their career, performing standard numbers and interplay by each member, as well as works released in the 1960s.The set list is almost completely different from that of \"Live in Paris 1972 Vol. 2,\" which will be released at the same time, so this is a valuable live archive that fans must have to enjoy the differences even though they are from the same period.
