However, in 1975, when Black Sheep performed a local show, they shared the stage with Spooky Tooth—the band then fronted by Mick Jones, who would later become Gram’s bandmate. The two formed Foreigner in 1976 and achieved massive success, churning out multi-platinum albums and chart-topping hit singles one after another. At the time, they were the first band since The Beatles to have their first eight singles all reach the U.S. Top 20. Lou began his solo career while still a member of Foreigner. His 1987 album *Ready or Not*, featuring the smash hit “Midnight Blue,” and his 1989 album *Long Hard Look*, which spawned the hit “Just Between You and\nMe,” were, of course, massive hits, and he enjoyed great success both with the band and as a solo artist.\nThirty-seven years later, his third solo album, set for release in 2026, is highly anticipated. Produced by Lou himself, this album is a masterpiece that stands shoulder-to-shoulder not only with his past solo work but also with the unparalleled recordings from his Foreigner days. It includes a re-recording of “True Blue Love (Unplugged),” originally featured on the 1989 album *Long Hard Look*. Comprising 10 original songs co-written with former Black Sheep member Bruce Targon, the album features long-time musical collaborators such as Lou’s brother Ben on drums.
