Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the release of Def Leppard's masterpiece, "Target of Fire," this deluxe 4CD+Blu-ray edition is executive produced by lead singer Joe Elliott and Ronan McHugh, and mastered by Andy Pierce. In addition to the original album, the 4CD set includes one disc of previously unreleased demo material (including the previously unreleased demo of "No You Can't Do That"), which was unearthed from Joe Elliott's archive of tapes, as well as important live recordings from the era. --The Blu-ray will also include a previously unreleased demo of "No You Can't Do That", as well as two important live recordings from the era - recorded at the LA Forum (USA) and at the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund (Germany). In addition, the Blu-ray includes the Atmos mix (supervised by Giles Martin), a 5.1 surround mix, a new stereo mix, and an instrumental mix. In addition, five promotional videos produced at the time are also included.The gorgeous English-language booklet includes a story about the making of the album written by Paul Elliott, a writer for Mojo and Classic Rock magazines (who also conducted new interviews with the band members), and many treasured photographs (including some never before published) by famous photographers such as Ross Halfin, who has been associated with the group for many years. The Japanese edition only includes a translation of the English commentary and lyrics by Ross Halfin and other famous photographers who have known the group for many years (including some never before released), and many treasured photographs. The album includes the worldwide hits "Photograph," "Rock! Rock!" and "Rock of Ages," the album was certified platinum worldwide (reaching #2 on the U.S. charts). (It rose to #2 on the U.S. charts.) To this day, "Target of Fire" remains one of the best-selling rock albums of all time. It was also certified as a Diamond Disc by the Recording Industry Association of America (over 10 million sets sold in the U.S. alone), along with its follow-up, "Hysteria.
