Strauss. The Symphony in C-sharp minor was written at the age of 20, when he was studying in Germany, and it is a powerful work that mixes the germ of his genius with the profound ideas of his later years. It is a wonderful work that was highly praised by Romain Rolland. The other piece, \"Sea Poem,\" was originally written for piano and was inspired by a poem by Walt Whitman. Although the version written for piano is usually performed, the orchestral version by the composer himself is a masterpiece on par with Debussy's \"The Sea.The ever-changing expression of the waves, the contemplation and stillness, the seven-colored surface of the water... The sea offers an astonishing array of expressions. Israeli-born female conductor Atlas perfectly recreates Bloch's score and reveals its hidden charms.
