There are no official recordings of Wieniawski's Ballade and Polonaise and Nováček's Everlasting Motion, so these recordings are very valuable. The inclusion of contemporary music of the time, such as Villa-Lobos, is also not to be missed. The rehearsal of Pied Pipers is typical of American radio. It begins with a discussion with the performers, and Heifetz rehearses and performs a boogie-woogie style passage. The comedy skit features a surprise appearance by Jack Benny, a very popular comedian.In addition to a joyful talk with Benny, who played violin in the band at the time, Heifetz and Benny perform a comical duet at the end, accompanied by the piano.
