In No. 24, a masterpiece of the minor concerto in the classical style, Le Sage uses a cadenza by Fauré, which is typical of Le Sage. The performance is not a period approach, but it is not heavy in the manner of the great masters, either; it transcends various interpretations and is completely original, which is truly unique to Le Sage.
