Inspired by the poetry of German poet Theodor Fontane, Hans-Ulrich Traichert's script is reminiscent of \"The Little Mermaid,\" in which \"Okeane,\" a mysterious woman who lives in the sea, comes to earth in search of love and the ability to capture emotions. It is a fragmented yet problematic work that depicts the essence of human nature. Maria Bengtsson sings of a being beyond human understanding with a beautiful and graceful voice, and tenor Zhukov beautifully portrays a sad man who is interested in Okeane but does not understand her very existence. The fantastic music Granato has attached to the story is movingly performed by the Runnicles.
