This release of “Pastoral” and “The Moldau” marks the final volume in the series.\nUnfortunately, the Second and Eighth Symphonies are not included in this series, but the seven major works can now be enjoyed in the finest sound quality.\nWhen it comes to Furtwängler’s Beethoven, it seems that the complete symphony set released in December 1991 (Toshiba EMITOCE 7530–4) is currently trading for between 40,000 and 80,000 yen.\nHowever, as long as you have the latest GS release, considering not only the sound quality but also the comprehensiveness of the liner notes, there is absolutely no need to buy such exorbitantly priced used copies anymore.
