Bach's Six Quartets with Japanese oboe player, Go Arai! Thomas Fritsche, who discovered and recorded Telemann's \"12 Fantasias for viola da gamba\" (COV91601), has made another world premiere recording of this historic work. This is the \"Six Quartets\" by Johann Christian Bach, the youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach. The six quartets consist of oboe, violin, viola da gamba, and cello. Thomas Fritsche found an old manuscript score of this piece. In the first edition, we know that Karl Friedrich Abel was in charge of the gamba part. Arbel was in touch with the Bach family, and his father was a gamba player in the court orchestra of the Great Bach. He was an excellent gamba player after moving to London, where he and Johann Christian Bach gave public concerts called \"Bach-Abel Concerts. In this recording, Thomas Fritsche and the Japanese oboe player Go Arai, who has also performed with the Bach Collegium Japan, participate.
