Jeanne Leroux, a piano virtuoso who studied with Marguerite Long and Cortot, gave the world premiere of Ravel's \"Ma mère roi\" in April 1910. The suite \"In Italia\" is full of pianistic interest.Marguerite Canal was the first woman to conduct in France, and was also the teacher of the great singer Yoshiko Furusawa when she was a professor at the Paris Conservatory.\n\n\n\nMotofumi Nagai is a promising young conductor who studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and the Paris Conservatory.
