This is Respighi's \"Roman Trilogy,\" recorded in 1977 by the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Seiji Ozawa. 2 LP set. After World War I, Respighi achieved success in Italy as an instrumental composer. His outstanding orchestration skills were on par with those of Richard Bogner-Strauß and Maurice Ravel. Respighi is also known as the first composer in history to incorporate phonograph recordings into an orchestral work, using actual nightingale songs in the third movement of \"Pines of Rome,\" \"Pines of Gianicolo.\" The original score specified the use of recordings made by Max Hampel, a recording engineer at Deutsche Grammophon. The nightingale song was not recorded during the orchestra recording session, but was added later from a separate tape. However, that tape no longer exists, and producer Rainer Mayr decided to use the original recording by Hampel specified by Respighi.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Dg Deutsche Grammophon","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52291592618273,"sku":"28948680429","price":83.95,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0568\/8482\/2076\/files\/28948680429.jpg?v=1770059295","url":"https:\/\/cdsvinyljapan.com\/es-es\/products\/28948680429","provider":"CDs Vinyl Japan Store","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
