Newly Revised Edition by John Wilson! John Wilson & Sinfonia of London (SOL), the most popular duo in the world today, won the Recording Academy Award in the Orchestral Music category and the Gramophone Award for Spatial Audio in 2022 for their "Ravel: Orchestral Works" (RCHSA5280/CHSA5280). The "Daphnis et Chloe", Ravel's early masterpiece by John Wilson & Sinfonia of London ("SOL"), the most remarkable duo in the world today. This is one of the most remarkable recordings of Ravel's early masterpiece "Daphnis et Chloé" by John Wilson & Sinfonia of London (SOL), a duo that has been attracting attention. The score of "Daphnis et Chloé," which was commissioned by Sergei Diaghilev, the leader of the Russian Ballets Russes, and is still frequently mentioned, contains numerous inconsistencies, omissions, and misprints, and many changes Ravel made during rehearsals were not transferred from the parts to the full score. The score has been the subject of much debate among performers, conductors, and musicologists for many years. So in 2020, John Wilson took advantage of the time created by the Covid-19 pandemic to research this score thoroughly. The vast number of errors have been resolved as rationally as possible, resulting in a revised edition in which the parts and full score match in every detail, creating a practical new score with an extremely easy-to-read layout. The "dufcro" that has plagued countless musicians for the past 100 years is finally available in a definitive revised edition that will become the standard for the future. The "Dufcrot" edition will be performed to perfection with the Sinfonia of London, which has already proven its quality in Ravel's aforementioned "Orchestral Works"!
