Through sonatas by various composers ranging from the Baroque to the contemporary era, the series constructs a grand human drama. Focusing on the pieces featured in Vol. 4, “Mystery \u0026amp; Enchantment”—which brings together the most challenging and significant programs from the project—a session recording took place in January 2026 at b-sharpStudio in Berlin. The album pairs Hiroshi Fujikura’s “Piano Sonata”—written specifically for Kosuge—and “Shadow Pass” for cello and piano with the only piano sonatas composed by Liszt and Berg, respectively. The album’s title derives from the fact that all the tracks on this recording consist of a single movement.
