His installment of the Detroit Love series is a swift, nearly seamless mix of mostly exclusive cuts from Detroit and beyond. The selections generally stick to a steady tempo and warm vibes, and they all get two to four minutes of air time before moving on, so nothing lingers for too long, but there also arent any dramatic shifts between tracks. Even though this isnt a peaks-and-valleys mix, several tracks add some variation and keep things lively, such as a few gospel-inflected tracks near the beginning, or the self-explanatory Jackin Jazzy by Doc Link. Tracks by Roddy Rod and Matthew Law break the beats up a little, and later on in the mix, Ladymonix and DJ Rimarkable add a bit of sass and flair.
