The sixth release in the FUSION/AOR ARTISTRY SERIES from Tower Records is the world's first 2-CD set of the masterpiece "Casino Lights," a recording of the legendary live performance at Montreux in 1981, planned and commented by Hisakazu Kanazawa, well-known for his work on Light Mellow. The world's first 2-CD reissue of this masterpiece, "Casino Lights: Legendary Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1981". Disc 2 is the first CD release in Japan.

Casino Lights" was produced by the famous producer Tommy Ripuma, and it is one of the most famous live recordings in the history of fusion music.
It is a monumental live document that took place in July 1981 at the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, and the year 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the show.

Disc 1 is the well-known "Casino Lights" recording, which was first released in 1982, the year after the event, and has since become a standard live recording that conveys the excitement of the then thriving fusion scene. The first CD release in 1989 included four additional tracks by Larry Carlton, the Yellow Jackets, and others (which had been prepared for the 2-disc set when the original release was made), for a total of 12 tracks.
Disc 2 is the first CD release in Japan, and was first released on CD overseas in 1991, the 25th anniversary year of the Montreux Jazz Festival, and has since become a lost recording, although it is known to some fans. It was known to some fans, but it became a kind of lost recording after that.
The CD includes rare masterpieces of the time, such as "Room 335" performed by Larry Carlton with members of the Yellowjackets, and "The Visitor" by Neal Larsen with Robben Ford on guitar, a famous instrumental by the Larsen-Fayton Band. This is the most significant feature of this release, and has been long awaited by some fans for re-release.
The sound source is a 24BIT digitally remastered sound source, and the high quality SMH-CD specification brings the passionate performances back to life after 40 years.
