Description:

Even in times of uncertainty and quiet solitude, songs are born. Brandi Carlisle, a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and collaborator who has grown into one of the leading figures in the American music scene, writes "The Sound of These Silent Days". The new album "IN THESE SILENT DAYS," the first new album in three years born from the lockdown, is now complete.

The album was nominated for six Grammy Awards at the 61st Grammy Awards in February 2019, including three major categories: "Best Record," "Best Album," "Best Song," "Best American Roots Performance," "Best American Roots Song," and "Best Americana Album. Brandi Carlisle is a talented singer/songwriter who has made quite a splash with her nominations for "Best Americana Album," "Best American Roots Song" (The Joke), "Best American Roots Performance" and "Best American Roots Performance" (The Joke). Brandi Carlisle. She is also a member of THE HIGHWOMEN, a collaborative project of female artists at the forefront of the contemporary Americana/Country scene, and has contributed the theme song "Carried Me With You" to the Pixar film "The Magic of the Half. She is now releasing her first new album in three years as a singer/songwriter in her own name.

The long-awaited new album, "IN THESE SILENT DAYS," was formed during the lockdown period when, as its title suggests, "everyone was forced to shut down and stay home and quiet. Brandi Carlisle was enjoying the biggest breakthrough of her career to date, with a Grammy Award, her first sold-out arena show at Madison Square Garden, a tour, and collaborations with a variety of artists, when a new strain of coronavirus broke out, causing a worldwide pandemic. The global pandemic of the new coronavirus forced her to stay home, slow down her activities, and reevaluate her priorities. Fortunately for her, her home was located on 90 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains outside of Seattle, a property she shared not only with her family, but also with her longtime collaborators and band members, brothers Tim and Phil Hanselos. She was a member of the New York City chapter of the New York Times. There, she began working with them on the songwriting for the new album.
