Bob Dylan
Description:
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of their debut. A masterpiece that reflects America in the early 1960s, a time of social unrest.
The second Bob Dylan album, released in 1963, is the second album by Bob Dylan, and although it was ranked No. 22 in the U.S. charts, it was the first album to reach No. 1 in the U.K. It was widely sung through the civil rights and anti-war movements, and it made Dylan's name known around the world.
The protest songs A-(1) "Blowin' in the Wind" and A-(6) "It's Raining Hard" were widely sung through the civil rights and anti-war movements, and helped to make Dylan's name known around the world. These socially conscious songs seem to have been influenced by his girlfriend at the time, Suze Rotolo, who appears not only on the album cover but also in several of the love songs. In each song, such as A-(2) "A Girl from the North Country," an arrangement of an Irish folk song, she spins a rich story, and her talent as a poet flourishes.
This is a masterpiece of the folk era and one of Dylan's best-known works.
