The theme of the album is \"Women's Voices. Inspired by Virginia Woolf's words, \"Many of the anonymous figures in history were women,\" and Charlotte Bieneme's podcasts, the album is a paean to women who have been in the shadows throughout history, or who have tried to change society.\n\n■Tracks are inspired by specific people and movements, including Swiss prostitute, writer and activist Glyzeridis Leal (Track 2), Mexican women's group Las Patronas, which supports immigrants (Track 5), and Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement (Track 6). Nick Bertu serves as executive producer and mixing (co-producer).
