Danish Choral Music Holmen Church Holmen Church is located in the center of Copenhagen. The surrounding area is considered a symbolic district of Danish history and culture, with historically significant buildings such as Christiansborg Castle, which serves as the Danish Parliament, the former stock exchange "Baasen," and the National Bank designed by Arne Jacobsen. The church dates back to 1619, when King Christian IV converted a naval foundry into a church, and it has been used for important Danish royal events for over 400 years. The church is also known for its wonderful acoustic space and has played a major role in Danish musical life, with Nils W. Goeze, Thomas Laub, and Mounse Vrdike all having been church organists.
