With a sound that fused Southern rock, hard rock, and country, and signed with ATCO, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records. The lineup at the time consisted of Ricky “Ricochet” Reynolds on guitar, Stanley “Goober” Knight on guitar and organ, Pat “Dirty” Doherty on bass, and Wayne “Squeeze Box” Evans on drums.\n\nTheir debut album, named after Black Oak in their home state of Arkansas (as you might imagine), was released in March 1971. It featured tracks that became singles, such as “Hot And Nasty,” “Uncle Lijiah,” and “Lord Have Mercy on My Soul.” Their second album on ATCO, *Keep the Faith*, was released in January 1972, and the title track was released as a single. By the time they released their third album, *If An Angel Came to See You, Would You Make Her Feel at Home?*, in June 1972, legendary drummer Tommy Aldridge (White Snake, Pat Travers, Ozzy Osbourne) had joined the band. As they were establishing themselves as a solid live act across the United States, they chose to record their fourth album live. Recorded in December 1972 and released in February 1973, *Raunch'N'Roll Live* (CDs 4 \u0026amp; 5) brilliantly captures the band’s raw energy and excitement on stage.\n\nThis box set contains all four albums on five CDs.
