Despite numerous lineup changes, the band has been active for over half a century, centered around guitarist Tony Iommi, and has continued to exert a profound influence on countless heavy metal and hard rock bands. On July 5, 2025, the band concluded their run as an original lineup with their final concert, *Back to the Beginning*, held in their hometown of Birmingham, England. Ozzy passed away just 17 days later. Now, a rare live archive of Black Sabbath from the 1990s has been released!

After the departure of third-generation vocalist Ian Gillan, the band’s activities stalled as they struggled to find a replacement. Tony Iommi then produced an album with the addition of Tony Martin and Cozy Powell, aiming to return to the sound concept of the Ronnie James Dio era, and it received high acclaim. For the promotional tour of *Headless Cross* (released in 1989), they embarked on their first world tour in years. However, in 1992, Tony Martin and Cozy Powell left the band, and although Ronnie James Dio returned, the band struggled. With the return of Tony and Cozy and the addition of Neil Murray, the band’s lineup solidified, and they released the album *Forbidden* in June 1995. To support the album’s sales, they launched the *Forbidden Tour* the following month—a long-awaited world tour comprising 87 shows. The concert on July 7 in Chicago, Illinois—one of the tour’s early dates—was recorded and broadcast as a PBS program for radio promotion. This album is a live recording based on that broadcast, capturing nearly the entire concert, including guitar solos and the encore.

Although the reception for *Forbidden* was lukewarm, the band delivered a hard-hitting and powerful performance that blew that criticism away. Since Cozy Powell left the band again during the tour, this was the last live performance with this lineup, making it an extremely rare archive!

Import edition with Japanese packaging <japanese sleeve english liner notes with japanese translation>

Tony Martin (vocals)
Tony Iommi (guitar)
Neil Murray (bass)
Cozy Powell (drums)
Jeff Nichols (keyboards)</japanese>
