CHARLATANS, one of the UK's leading alternative rock bands, is releasing a limited edition live set on domestic/import CD with obi and commentary to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their legendary stage performance at the Reading festival! Formed in the West Midlands in 1988 around bassist MARTIN BLUNT, the band was soon joined by vocalist TIM BURGESS and debuted during the Manchester boom as the follow-up to STONE ROSES, HAPPY MONDAYS and INSPIRAL CARPETS. After the end of the groove-driven, indie-dance Manche boom, the band went through many changes, such as adapting to the Brit Pop boom, and eventually became one of the UK's leading rock bands, Alternative Rocks CHARLATANS. This limited edition live set was released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the band's performance at the legendary Reading festival recorded by the BBC in 1992. The set features 11 songs, including popular early singles "Indian Rope," "The Only One I Know," "Then," and "Weirdo"!
