The album also features works by 20th-century composers such as Zaleski and Prydatkevych, who fled to the United States to escape the war. The collection showcases music that expresses the nation’s dignity and indomitable spirit, unshaken even in the face of crisis, and concludes with a poignant rendition of a paraphrase based on the melody of the Ukrainian national anthem.\nIvakhiv is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. He holds the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine and, based in the United States, performs with major music festivals and orchestras.
