This album contains his piano pieces arranged for solo harp by Joanna Downeate. The simple melodies reminiscent of folk songs are given a more romantic flavor by the sound of the harp. This is a disc that will bring a new charm to Chouryonis's works. Joanna Downeate is a Lithuanian-born harpist. She studied at the Geneva Academy of Music and the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she won prizes in many international competitions and was active as a soloist. Currently, she is dedicated to the promotion of harp music and Lithuanian music.
