Description:

SACD Single Layer Special Price "The Art of German Charplatten ETERNA" The most faithful sound to the original analog recordings of Eterna! The first release supervised by Yoichi Takaga, the owner of Eterna Trading, the authority of the Eterna label, is a single SACD disc (approx. 128 minutes!) of the "Mozart 6 Great Symphonies" by Suitner & SKD from the 1970s, when the Eterna label's individuality was established. Includes a 23-page commentary that can be called the "Eterna Reader," which provides detailed information about the Eterna label, including its history, sales history, and recording venues, which until now have rarely been discussed. King International's new series "The Art of Deutsche Schallplatten ETERNA" is newly digitally mastered from master tapes to reproduce the sound of Eterna analog records in their heyday as much as possible. The project was supervised by Yoichi Takani, the owner of the vintage record store Eterna Trading and the "instigator" of the spread of ETERNA records in Japan, and was inherited from Tokuma and stored at King Records with the aim of achieving sound quality as faithful to the analog records as possible. The mastering process took three times longer than usual for SACD from the master tapes stored at King Records, which were inherited from Tokuma. The first release is Mozart: Selected Symphonies (Nos. 32-34, 39-41) by Staatskapelle Dresden conducted by Switner, which has been highly acclaimed as the most beautiful Mozart performance since the analog era. The booklet also includes a detailed commentary on the history and recording of Eterna by Takani, "Tokuma Japan and Deutsche Schallplatten" by Shigeo Itakura, a leading music critic and expert on the history of records, who summarizes the history of reception of Eterna in Japan, and "East German Charplatten" by Bun Kumeda, a German scholar of literature, who discusses East Germany's The book also includes "Two East German Recordings," a discussion of the traces of East Germany by Fumi Kumeda, a German literature scholar, as well as a roundtable discussion, providing a sense of the truly serious sound recordings that rang out behind the walls in bygone days.
